Job Description
The Role
You will be part of a consistent and reliable team providing crucial support during two main shifts:
Morning Shift:
07:30 - 12:00
Evening Shift:
16:00 - 20:00
Shifts are required every day (rota will include weekend work).*Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, your role will be varied, dynamic, and focused on facilitating a client-centred lifestyle:
Full Personal Care
Transfers:
Safely assisting the client (who uses a wheelchair) with all transfers.Experience in complex or assisted transfers is essential.
Community Access:
Taking the client out into the community using hisWheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV).
Rehabilitation Support:
Assisting the client with his structured therapy program, working closely with the Occupational Therapist (OT) and Physiotherapist (Physio).Domestic Tasks:
Light household duties during downtime, including meal preparation.Client Focus:
Upholding a high standard of care that promotes dignity, respect, and the client's independence and personal goals.What We Are Looking For
Essential Experience:
Proven experience providing care, ideally with clients who have aspinal cord injury
or complex physical disabilities.Transfer Skills:
Demonstrated ability and confidence in safe, assistedmanual handling and transfers.
Client-Centred Approach:
A genuine commitment to placing the client's needs and goals at the heart of all care.Reliability:
Excellent timekeeping and dedication to the rota are paramount due to the 2:1 nature of the care.Driving:

Pay: 17.00-18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 27 per week
