The role involves providing comprehensive support to a vibrant young man with complex care needs related to a spinal injury, including personal care, mobility assistance, medication administration, and social/recreational activities. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in promoting the client's independence and enhancing his quality of life.
Main duties of the job
As a Spinal Injury Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to the client. Your duties will include supporting with mobility, personal care, hoisting, and daily routines; administering medication and monitoring health conditions; providing emotional support and companionship; assisting with social and recreational activities; maintaining accurate records; and collaborating with healthcare professionals and the client's family. The role requires a flexible approach, as you will be expected to work a mix of day and night shifts to meet the client's needs.

Llandudno, Conwy (Driver essential due to rural location) 15.14 - 18.49 per hour
Shifts: ( must be flexible to cover days & Nights)
Days: 24-48 hours per week, worked over four days 08:00 - 20:00
Waking Nights: 48 hours every two weeks, worked over four nights 20:00 - 08:00
Are you a compassionate, motivated individual with experience in complex care? We're offering an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated care team supporting a vibrant young man in his late 20s living in his own home in the Llandudno area.
He lives with his golden retriever puppy and leads an active life enjoying dog walks, mountain biking, 90's music, care events, and road trips. He has complex care needs related to a spinal injury, including partial paralysis, limited upper-body function, autonomic dysreflexia, and catheter/bowel care.
To support his independence and lifestyle, we're seeking female support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship.
Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential due to the client's rural location. Key Responsibilities:
Support with mobility, personal care, hoisting, and daily routines
Administer medication and monitor health conditions
Provide emotional support and companionship
Assist with social and recreational activities
Maintain accurate records and report any changes
