Responsibilities



Conduct accurate and high-quality spirometry tests according to ARTP standards. Operate spirometers and follow strict protocols to measure lung capacity and airflow. Screen for contraindications (e.g., recent surgery, chest pain, infections). Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care and safety standards. Perform daily calibration of equipment to meet clinical accuracy standards. Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain hygiene protocols. Assess the quality of the test (e.g., repeatability, effort) and flag suboptimal results. May assist clinicians in interpreting results or identifying patterns (e.g., obstructive vs restrictive).

Requirements



Relevant healthcare qualification (e.g., HCA, Registered Nurse, Respiratory Technician). MUST be ARTP certified. Proven experience in conducting spirometry in a clinical setting.
