Job Summary

:

Shots in the Community Foundation are the affiliated club community organisation (CCO) of Aldershot Town Football Club (registered charity: 1172414). Aldershot Town Football Club are an established professional football club competing in the Enterprise National League.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join the Shots Foundation team. In the role, you will be responsible for coaching and increasing participation in the sports and physical activities within our community programmes. This includes coaching within our schools programme, by delivering after-school clubs, lunch club, and holiday camps to local schools. You will lead on other coaching projects such as 'Little Shots' and support with our FA Wildcats Programme. You will also be involved in the outreach and engagement with our supporters on Aldershot Town FC matchdays. In time, you will be required to start, plan and deliver other engaging community initiatives.

In your role you will be expected to always represent both the Shots Foundation and Aldershot Town Football Club professionally and respectfully. You will report to the Head of Foundation.

Responsibilities

:

Plan and deliver high-quality football coaching sessions for children in primary schools aged 4-11, ensuring they are appropriate, safe, and engaging. Teach fundamental football skills, including passing, shooting, dribbling, and defending, to players at all levels of experience and ability. Utilise Aldershot Town FC matchdays to engage with our supporter's base and improve the supporter experience at Aldershot Town FC. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes fair play, respect, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Maintain and analyse project data, including day-to-day registers, awards, and personal data. Identify areas of the local community that need intervention, and plan, deliver and manage such projects effectively. Assist the Head of Foundation with the general day-to-day operations of the Shots Foundation, which may include grant funding and fundraising.

Requirements

:

Essential

A minimum FA Introduction to Football (or equivalent) Qualification. Holds an Enhanced DBS Check or can obtain one (Essential). Previous experience coaching children in a primary school environment. Flexibility and a willingness to work occasional weekends. Understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with children and adults. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to proactively work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable

UEFA C (FA Level 2) Qualification Interest in the charitable side of a professional football club, football operations, and the matchday experience. Experience delivering community-based projects.
