Youth Sports Development

is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with

nursery and primary-aged children

, helping them develop fundamental movement skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of sport.

As a coach with Youth Sports Development, you will deliver fun, engaging, and age-appropriate sessions that prioritise enjoyment, safety, and personal development. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on young children during their early sporting journey while promoting active and healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver fun, structured, and engaging coaching sessions for

nursery and primary-aged children

Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where children feel confident to participate Deliver activities and games that develop fundamental movement skills, coordination, teamwork, and confidence Adapt sessions to suit different ages, abilities, and learning styles Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and good sportsmanship Monitor children's progress and provide positive, age-appropriate feedback Set up, maintain, and pack away equipment, ensuring all coaching areas are safe and well organised Represent Youth Sports Development in a professional and enthusiastic manner at all times
Requirements

Experience coaching or working with

nursery or primary-aged children

in a sports, school, or activity setting A good understanding of child development, safeguarding, and age-appropriate coaching practices Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire young children Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan engaging sessions A

full UK driving licence

and access to a vehicle An

up-to-date enhanced DBS check

(or willingness to obtain one) A

valid First Aid certificate

is desirable A recognised coaching qualification or relevant experience is desirable Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays when required A genuine passion for sport and a commitment to helping children enjoy being active
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 36 per week

Work Location: On the road
