Overview



Activ Camps Ltd is a friendly and lively company running multi-activity camps for children aged 4-14 across London. Safeguarding and child protection are at the heart of everything we do, and all staff are expected to uphold the highest standards of care, safety, and professionalism. Our seasonal staff teams are full of energetic, enthusiastic people who are passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, active and fun environment for every child.

We are looking for confident, caring, and positive individuals who bring lots of energy to their sessions while consistently promoting children's wellbeing and safeguarding.

Hours:

08:15 - 17:00 (Monday-Friday)

Daily Pay:

102.56 (21 Plus) , 77.12 (18-20)

Contract:

Temporary (School holidays)

Key Responsibilities



Deliver all activity sessions in accordance with Activ Camps' operating procedures and risk assessments, maintaining a proactive, vigilant, and safety focused approach at all times. Safeguard the wellbeing of every child on camp, acting in line with Activ Camps' Child Protection and Safeguarding training, and promptly reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Promote inclusion, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring that all children feel supported, respected, and able to participate confidently. Motivate and encourage children to participate in the full range of activities, adapting sessions to suit their age, ability, and confidence levels. Actively participate in all activities, including swimming sessions where necessary. Clearly communicate with Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers, colleagues and, on occasion, parents/carers. Promote positive behaviour by using constructive behaviour management strategies. Manage session timings effectively, following the timetable to ensure each group benefits fully from their allocated activity time. On occasion, to assist with the organisation of equipment, the upkeep of venue facilities, and the setup and takedown of camps.

Essential Attributes



Minimum 18 years old with the right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS Check (issued within 3 months, on the DBS Update Service, or willing to undergo one). Responsible and safety focused, prioritising children's wellbeing at all times. Enthusiastic, caring, and able to engage and lead children confidently. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, building positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues. Reliable, trustworthy, and well organised with excellent time management.

Desirable Attributes



Experience working with children and/or young people including QTS, SEND experience. Coaching and/or activity and sports specific qualifications. Ofsted approved, 12-hour paediatric first aid training qualification.
