Overview

Are you passionate about sport, fitness, and inspiring young minds? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team and deliver high-quality physical education and sports coaching in primary schools across Oldham.

About this Role

As a Sports Coach, you'll play a key part in shaping the physical wellbeing and personal development of children through engaging, inclusive PE lessons and extracurricular activities. You will:

Deliver fun, age-appropriate PE lessons aligned with the National & EdStart curriculum. Coach a variety of sports (e.g. football, athletics, gymnastics, netball). Encourage participation from all pupils, including those with additional needs. Organise and supervise school sports clubs, competitions, and events. Work collaboratively with school staff to integrate physical activity into daily routines. Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students. Maintain sports equipment and adhere to safeguarding and health & safety policies.

Essential Requirements

Recognised coaching qualifications. Experience working with children, ideally in a school or community setting. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. A positive, engaging, and professional approach to coaching. Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable Requirements

Degree in PE, Sports Science, or a related discipline. First Aid and Safeguarding training. Experience working with children with additional needs. Ability to coach across a wide range of sports and activities.

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
