8:30am-3:30pm (minimum 32 hours, potential to increase to 40+ hours)

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join Vara Sports & Education as a
PE Coach and Education & Sports Support Officer
. This is a unique hybrid role, acting as the "right hand" to our leadership team.
You'll combine
on-the-ground delivery
(PE lessons, sports coaching, and TA support) with
behind-the-scenes support
(admin tasks, paperwork, and quality assurance). This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up into a more responsible, varied role with future management potential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality PE and sports lessons across partner schools, promoting teamwork, fitness, and skill development.
Provide classroom and TA support when required, ensuring continuity of care and learning.
Assist with lesson planning, feedback collection, and CPD implementation.
Take responsibility for certain administrative tasks, including updating records, preparing resources, and supporting quality control.
Lead after-school clubs, holiday camps, and enrichment activities.
Ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, and fully compliant with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
Work closely with leadership to maintain standards across schools and settings.
About You
Recognised sports coaching qualification (Level 2+ preferred).
Experience working with children in schools or community sport.
Confident with both practical coaching and administrative tasks.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A positive, proactive mindset with the ability to adapt.
DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
