Sharp Training is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Multi-Sports Coach to deliver high quality sports and fitness sessions in primary schools during lunchtimes and after-school clubs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging sessions to primary school aged children, motivating them and fostering a positive environment for them to learn sports, games and fitness activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute and shape the physical and mental development of children through sports and fitness.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and abilities
Foster a positive team environment that encourages participation, confidence, and enjoyment of sport and exercise
Motivate pupils to achieve their best whilst emphasising sportsmanship and fair play
Manage behaviour confidently and professionally
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to pupils and their guardians where appropriate
Ensure the safety of all pupils by adhering to health and safety protocols during activities
Arrive prepared, punctual and organised
Experience
Experience working with children of primary school ages Y1-Y6
Knowledge of various sports with ability to coach the skills required for children to learn and engage
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage individuals of diverse backgrounds
Ability to organise coaching sessions, manage groups confidently, promoting teamwork and good positive attitudes
Good behaviour management and communication
Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates; willingness to undertake necessary training is preferred
Experience in the gym or with Strength & Conditioning is desirable but not essential
Enhanced DBS certificate is required (we can help support the application process but may delay your start date)
