Planet Warriors Kids Club is excited to introduce a dynamic opportunity for a Sports Coach to join our Wraparound Care provision in Thames Ditton. This role is integral to our ethos enabling children to thrive through dynamic and engaging sports activities. The Club aims to provide exceptional care and a fun-filled experience for every child.

As Sports Coach, you will play a vital role by delivering a variety of high-quality sports activities and ensuring children's enjoyment and wellbeing are at its core. Main Duties:



Plan, lead, deliver, and review all sports sessions in line with company standards Provide excellent customer service to parents, children and other stakeholders Collaborate with the team to create a nurturing and stimulating sports environment that caters to individual children's needs. Facilitate age-appropriate inclusive sports activities, fostering physical development and teamwork. Engage children through group activities (age appropriate) such as group games, challenges, and sporting events. Lead small group activities including coaching sessions, skill-building exercises, and team competitions. Adhere to the Club's schedule and responsibilities, ensuring a smooth operation. Maintain a welcoming and engaging environment, organising resources and cleaning spaces as needed. Contribute to planning activities, sharing ideas, and resources during team meetings. Safely transport children to and from school using Club vehicles or walking groups. Uphold the Club's positive behaviour ethos, promoting a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Assist the Club Manager with additional tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility, initiative and team spirit. Ensure compliance with Planet Warriors Policies and Procedures, prioritising child safety and well-being. Participate in daily debriefs, meetings, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills. Strive to be Ofsted ready and engage with the Inspector during an inspection.

Qualifications, Experience, and Personal Attributes:



Experience:



Prior experience in leading the delivery of sports activities to primary-aged children. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Personal Attributes:



Genuine enjoyment of working with children and an understanding of their diverse needs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to maintain composure, positivity, and initiative in problem-solving situations. A friendly, creative, and adaptable approach to sports leadership.

Qualifications:



A minimum of an NVQ 2 in Sports Leadership or equivalent is required or an abundance of relevant experience A qualification in Paediatric First Aid is required or a willingness to train
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
