We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to inspire and develop athletes across various age groups and skill levels in Primary Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating training sessions, fostering a positive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. Responsibilities
Deliver coaching sessions that emphasise skill development, fitness, and sportsmanship.
The ability to adapt sessions based on delivering a PE lesson, an extra curricular club or a Sports Holiday camp.
Monitor pupils progress in PE and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment during all activities
Organise team practices, competitions, and events to encourage teamwork
Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is clean and safe at all times
Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and parents to support pupils development
Requirements
Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong understanding of various sports disciplines
Demonstrated ability to teach skills effectively to individuals or groups of different ages and abilities (Aged 5-11)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to motivate children and foster a positive team environment
Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates
A commitment to promoting safety standards and ethical behaviour in sport
A successful applicant will have the option of joining our weekend football teams in the Junior Premier League and their training once a week in the evenings
The role would be 32 hours per week during school term time and then the option of adding work during school holiday periods and delivering our school sports camps (24 hours per week). Based on an average of 30 hours per week over a year, the salary would be between 1,700 and 1,850 per month based on qualifications and experience. Added to the statutory 28 days holiday, our staff have the opportunity to earn an additional 6 days extra holiday based on performance and feedback.
