An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bothams Prestige as a Sports Ground & Grounds Maintenance Contractor. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who takes real pride in their work, to join our team.

Horticultural, Groundskeeping or agricultural knowledge is preferable, and a full UK driving licence is required. A full DBS check will also be undertaken.

It is desirable that the candidate has previous experience in operating tractors and has a good understanding of how a tractor works, and how the attachments are fitted and removed, however this is not an essential requirement.

The role will involve undertaking a range of maintenance and renovation duties across many different sites, and it is essential that you ensure all your work is completed to the highest standards, whilst always maintaining health and safety. The ability to work unsupervised whilst using your own initiative is essential.

A flexible approach is essential, as overtime and weekend work shall be required during busy periods. When you work additional hours and more than your normal working week, you will be entitled to additional pay for the extra hours worked, including enhancements where applicable.*

The successful candidate will be competent in delivering a range of general grounds maintenance duties, and this will form the main part of the role, however supporting with renovations during busy periods may be required as/when needed.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

Grounds maintenance using hand machinery, including mowing, strimming, hedge cutting and line marking.

(Will not form part of regular duties, but may support with this as/when required during busy periods).

Grass cutting - Tractor and wide area rotary mower for regular mowing of grass areas (Will not form part of regular duties, but may support with this as/when required during busy periods).

Sports Turf Contracting duties (required but not limited to):

Land Drainage

Pitch renovations

Winter maintenance

Seeding

Shockwaving

Vertidraining

A candidate with previous experience within a similar role is desirable, although not essential.
