: Sports Masseuse

Contract Type: Self-Employed

Working Hours: Typically Mondays and Fridays, 9:00am - 1:00pm, other days depending on fixtures and training days may be required

Location: Club Training Ground LS268NX / May involve location changes depending on where the squad is training (stadium/ Leeds/ Harrogate area)

Role Overview

The Football Club is seeking a qualified and experienced Sports Masseuse to support the physical wellbeing, recovery, and performance of players. The role involves providing sports massage treatments tailored to the demands of football, working closely with coaching and medical staff to help prevent injury and promote optimal physical condition

This position is offered on a self-employed basis until 27 March 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver sports massage treatments to players before and after training sessions and matches

Assist with muscle recovery, injury prevention, and general player wellbeing

Assess players' physical condition and adapt treatments accordingly

Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, medical staff, and coaching team

Maintain accurate treatment records and respect player confidentiality

Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene and professionalism

Provide advice to players on recovery techniques, stretching, and muscle care where appropriate

Person Specification

1. Essential:

Recognised qualification in sports massage therapy

Experience working with athletes, preferably within football or a similar sport

Knowledge of common football-related injuries and recovery methods

Professional, reliable, and able to work independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Fully insured to operate as a self-employed practitioner

2. Desirable:

Experience working within a football club or team environment

Additional qualifications in sports therapy or related disciplines

Additional Information

The role is self-employed. The successful candidate will be solely responsible for their own tax, National Insurance contributions, insurance, and any other liabilities associated with self-employment

Safeguarding and relevant background checks will be required in line with club policies.
