Full-Time or Part-Time. Associate/Self employed basis

Location:

North West with a focus in and around Stockport.

Salary:

80 to 100 per hour (dependent on experience)

Due to significate growth, bMindful Psychology are looking to expand our expertise and recruit a Sports Psychologist on an Associate basis, with a view to supporting teams and athletes from grass roots to elite professional levels, in achieving their highest potential.

This role will offer the unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, rewarding setting.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct psychological assessments and interventions for athletes across a range of sports and skill levels. Provide individual and group counselling to address performance anxiety, motivation, focus, mental resilience, and injury recovery. Collaborate with coaches, medical teams, and other professionals to develop holistic, tailored strategies for athlete mental health and performance enhancement. Assist in the development and delivery of mental skills training workshops. Stay current on the latest research and techniques in sports psychology and integrate these into practice. Maintain detailed records of sessions and progress in line with professional and ethical standards. Provide education on mental health and well-being for athletes, coaches, and staff. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills



Suitable qualifications and registration with HCPC to practice as a Sports Psychologist. Proven experience working with athletes in a sports or performance setting (preferred). Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to build rapport with athletes and other professionals in a team environment. A passion for sports and a deep understanding of the mental challenges athletes face. A high degree of professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality. Ability to provide workshops or training on mental skills and resilience.
