College Sports and Fitness operates from Rugby, Leamington, Moreton Morrell and Pershore Centres. The Duty Manager at the Rugby centre is seeking to improve and standardise the service offered to staff, students and commercial customers.
The post holder will be a member of the Sports and fitness team and will be responsible to the Duty Manager at Rugby. The post holder will be responsible for the smooth running and operation of the fitness and sports facilities. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and approachable. We are looking for an outgoing, confident and reliable team player.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Whilst working alongside a member of the Sports team the post holder will be required to maintain high standards of customer service at all times, dealing with day to day enquiries in a positive manner and taking customer bookings for the sports facilities.
To ensure that all relevant paperwork for bookings is completed to maintain standards in line with the College systems. The post holder will also be required to take payments for use of facilities.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety procedures are adhered to for the centre by staff, students and customers. It is the responsibility of the post holder to report any health and safety issues to their line manager.
To ensure appropriate information, instruction and training is given to staff, students and customers in the use of the sports and fitness facilities and made aware of specific hazards/risks during exercise.
To contact necessary first aid staff/senior duty officer in case of an emergency and complete accident / incident report forms. To make sure every action is taken to prevent recurrence.
To ensure that the sports and facilities and surrounding service areas are kept clean, tidy and to high presentation standards.
To be responsible for setting up and putting away equipment relevant to the session.
Attend team meetings as requested.
In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties. The College will provide training.

LEAVE ENTITLEMENT
The College offers a generous leave entitlement to support staff, of 38 days leave (includes 25 days leave, 8 statutory Bank Holidays, 4 College closure days at Christmas and an annual Relaxed Day). This will rise to 41 days after 5 years' service.
HOURS OF WORK
The post holder will be expected to work such hours as are necessary for the proper performance of their duties and responsibilities, normally 23 hours per week.
PLACE OF WORK
The principal place of work will be the College's premises based at our Rugby College. However, the post holder may be required to work on either a temporary or an indefinite basis at any premises at which we may provide services.
