We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic
Teaching Assistant with a strong sports background
to join our partner school, a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) setting.
Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils, many of whom face challenges that can impact their ability to engage with education. Using your experience and enthusiasm for sport, you will help build positive relationships, develop pupils' confidence, and encourage greater participation in learning both inside and outside the classroom.
Skills
Support pupils with SEMH needs in their daily learning.
Use sport and physical activity to engage pupils, build trust, and promote positive behaviours.
Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Act as a role model, encouraging resilience, teamwork, and self-belief.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about working with young people with SEMH needs.
Experienced in sports, coaching, or physical education (professional or voluntary background welcome).
Resilient, patient, and able to build strong, positive relationships.
A team player with good communication skills and a proactive approach.
Previous experience working in a school or with young people is desirable but not essential - training and ongoing support will be provided.

Pay: 88.94-100.00 per day
