Sports Therapist position in a Neuro Rehab Specialist Practice
If you are a highly motivated Sports Therapist who is looking for a new challenge and to grow your skill set into a whole new area (read below to see what we do and who we help), then this may be the opportunity for you.
Who I am looking for!
1st and foremost I am looking for someone who loves helping people. Our mission here at Simpson Physiotherapy Ltd. is to Support People Living with a Neurological Condition and Frailty Conditions Live as Active, Meaningful and Independent Lives as Possible. If you don't love helping people who have very complex and sometimes life-limiting conditions, then this isn't the job for you!
2nd - You must be a self starter and very motivated - my practice is growing and can get chaotic at times, so someone who is not only able to take direction well, but someone who sees a problem, thinks of a solution, and go's and fixes it is who I am looking for.
3rd - I do not need loads of experience here for someone starting out - you will have a phenomenal opportunity to really push yourself clinically and personally. I have a terrific neuro specialist senior team who will be able to provide you with very specialist training and support, helping you upgrade your skills to a whole new level and be successful in your job with us.
4th - Understand the importance of asking questions - not knowing is NOT a sign of weakness, being confident in what you do and DO NOT know is incredibly important to developing yourself within my team. Knowing when, who and how to ask for help is a skill that very few people have - I am not interested in know-it-alls, I have no patience for them. I want someone who values personal development as well as clinical skill development, and having insight into your own areas of strengths, but most of all weaknesses and blind spots is how you are then able to formulate and ask for the right help. Making mistakes is allowed, failing to learn from them is not.
5th - You need to be flexible in your thinking and working - I mentioned above that my practice is growing and it can be chaotic at times, so I need someone who is able to adapt quickly and easily to new situations and new ways of doing things as the need arises. I need someone who is proactive about embracing change!
6th and Finally - you must be a car driver, have a clean licence and have your own car for work purposes. We provide predominantly home visit services, with some online appointments and classes, to our clients in and around Glasgow (from Cumbernauld to Carluke and all the way to Kilmarnock!). So having a car is very important.
