Bishop Burton College is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sports Therapist to support our Girls' and Women's Sports Academies. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team committed to athlete development, health, and performance.
The role will involve delivering high-quality sports therapy services, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. Working in collaboration with the Lead Sports Therapist and the Lead Strength & Conditioning Co-ordinator, you will contribute to a programme that emphasises injury prevention and athlete wellbeing. Pitch-side first aid is a key element of the role, with training and travel provided as necessary.
A particular focus of this position is supporting students at risk of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), so knowledge or interest in this area is highly desirable. The ability to conduct RED-S screening and provide intervention strategies will be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends, and may occasionally support sports therapy provision beyond the female academies. You must hold a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation, possess a pitch-side first aid qualification, and be a member of an appropriate professional body.
If you're motivated to make a difference and passionate about athlete care in an educational environment, we encourage you to apply.
Shortlisting for this role will be based solely on the information provided in the application form. CVs will not be considered during the shortlisting process. Please ensure that your application clearly demonstrates how you meet the essential and desirable criteria outlined in the person specification.
