Role Overview:
We are looking for a practical and detail-oriented Spray Painter Assistant to join our Finishing Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our composite doors are transformed into high-quality, visually appealing products. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence in surface preparation and painting processes and will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare composite door surfaces for painting including taping, sanding, cleaning, and masking to a high standard. Remove masking materials and carry out thorough visual quality checks. Mix paints using computerised systems to ensure perfect colour matching. Ensure safe storage, handling, and use of paints, adhering to use-by periods. Meet daily production targets within a high-volume spray booth setting. Identify and report slab defects prior to painting for timely resolution. Maintain spray guns and painting equipment through proper cleaning and storage procedures. Keep work areas clean and organised while following all health and safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience Required:You must have previous experience as a preparation assistant within a manufacturing sector. Practical individual with a strong eye for detail and organisation. A good sense for colour accuracy and commitment to quality assurance. Understanding of manufacturing or production processes. Familiarity with solvent and water-based paints and mixing systems is advantageous. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communicator across all levels of the business. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Flexible and willing to adapt to changing business needs and departmental requirements.

Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday

Day shifts with occasional weekend cover
