are currently looking to hire a Spray Painter/Paint Shop Operative to join our busy Paint Shop.

The post holder will paint heavy plant machinery and ensure that high quality standards are maintained through to the finished product stage.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Sanding and preparation of parts for paint operations.

2. Spray Painting.

3. Meet set targets while working in a high-volume production paint shop.

4. Paint spraying of single and 2 pack paints.

5. Report defects and possible issues to be rectified before paint

6. Touching up parts or finished machinery whenever necessary

7. Ensure proper handling, cleaning and storage of painting equipment.

8. Ensure proper usage of equipment to minimise damagewastage and re-work through the spray-painting process.

9. Ensuring a high standard of workmanship.

10. Ensure working area is maintained to a high standard to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

12. Achieve high standards of personal performance, through meeting agreed personal targets and undertaking training as required.

13. Fulfill the legal Health and Safety duties placed on employees by:

-Taking reasonable care of your own health & safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or do not do;

-Co-operating with the company on Health & Safety matters;

-Ensuring that you use work items provided by the company correctly and in accordance with the training and instruction received, including personal protective equipment (PPE);

-Ensuring that you do not interfere with or misuse anything provided for health, safety, or welfare purposes.

16. Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.

Criteria



Qualifications,& Experience



Experience working with high pressure industrial air/air less paint spraying systems 2 years' experience in working as a dedicated spray painter within similar environment. Worked previously in a high-volume production paint line Previous experience in painting 2 pack paints

Knowledge



Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

Skills and Competencies



Effective communication and interpersonal skills to deal with individuals at all levels of the business successfully; Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail; Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative; Flexibility to move between required tasks, business needs and departments.
