Spray Painter / Powder Coater

Power and Control Systems Ltd are a leading company specialising in the manufacture, electrical engineering and assembly of bespoke critical power solutions.

Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Spray Painter/Powder Coater to join our existing team.

Job Purpose

To prepare, spray paint, and powder coat metal components to a high-quality finish, ensuring all work meets company quality standards, customer specifications, and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for painting and powder coating. Apply spray paint and powder coatings to metal components and assemblies. Set up and operate spray booths, powder coating equipment, and curing ovens. Inspect finished products for quality, thickness, coverage, and defects. Rectify defects such as runs, blemishes, or uneven coating. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Adhere strictly to health & safety procedures. Follow job instructions, drawings, and specifications. Meet production targets and deadlines. Record work completed and any quality issues.

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience as a spray painter or powder coater is advantageous. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques. Understanding of paint and powder coating processes. Ability to read and follow job instructions and drawings. Good attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Awareness of health & safety regulations.
