Purpose of the position -

At JCPSA Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Spray Painter and Preparation operative to join our modular building manufacturing team. Your role will be key in delivering high-quality, environmentally-friendly finishes on our modular and portable buildings, aligning with our mission to create bespoke, sustainable solutions. You will handle surface preparation, apply coatings like polyurea, and ensure the final products meet our exceptional standards of precision and durability.

This position requires someone with some experience of surface preparation, spray paint and coating applications, with a focus on quality, safety, and contributing to the future-proofing of our products..

Key responsibilities & duties



Take pride in producing exceptionally high standards of work: As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainability, you will ensure that each modular building reflects top-tier quality and durability.

Prepare surfaces by grinding, sanding, and cleaning before coating: Your work will help ensure that each modular structure is built to last, contributing to our environmentally conscious practices by maintaining surface integrity and reducing waste.

Apply polyurea coatings and other spray finishes to modular structures, ensuring each unit is adaptable, long-lasting, and meets our sustainability goals.

Perform routine maintenance and care of spray painting equipment: Maintaining equipment in optimal condition ensures efficient, environmentally friendly operations in line with our continuous improvement program.

Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure coatings and finishes meet JCPSA's high standards of quality, durability, and environmental impact, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional products.

Collaborate with team members to ensure work is completed on time and to the highest standards. This teamwork reflects our value of transparency and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Follow safety protocols rigorously, ensuring all work is compliant with health and safety policies, and report any concerns to maintain a safe working environment, in line with environmental regulations.

Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at the end of each day, reflecting our commitment to efficiency, safety, and reducing environmental impact through proper tool maintenance.

Actively participate in continuous improvement programs, contributing to innovative ways to improve the quality and sustainability of our modular buildings.

Complete other reasonable requests from supervisors or management as needed, showing flexibility in supporting cross-functional needs within JCPSA's operations.

Work experience & skills & qualifications



Proven experience in spray painting, preferably in construction or manufacturing environments, supporting our mission to create high-quality, sustainable buildings.

Experience with polyurea coatings and surface preparation techniques, contributing to the longevity and environmental responsibility of our products.

Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all finishes meet the exceptionally high standards JCPSA is known for.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, fostering collaboration and contributing to the efficient delivery of projects.

Understanding of and commitment to health and safety procedures, ensuring work is completed in line with both operational standards and environmental policies.

A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic, reflecting JCPSA's values of innovation, quality, and sustainability.

Familiarity with reading technical drawings is a plus, ensuring accurate coating application aligned with technical specifications.

Must hold a full driving licence; a CSCS card is desirable but not essential.

Pay:

29,000.00-32,000.00 per year Dependant on experience
