As a Database Team Lead at Ekco xTEN, you will play a crucial role in leading and inspiring our team to new heights. You will manage the team, overseeing training, hiring, and firing, while setting goals for both the team and individuals. As an expert in your field, you will contribute to the team\'s success and be recognised for your achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team leadership: Manage the database team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to team members. Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Technical expertise: Demonstrate leadership in the database field by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting team members.
  • Point of escalation: Serve as a point of escalation for complex database issues, providing guidance and expertise to address challenges.
  • Innovative problem-solving: Analyse customer estates and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency and prevent issues.
  • Design excellence: Create detailed and well-thought-through database designs that enable the team to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
Essential Skills/Experience:
  • Experience in a similar role as a Database Team Lead, with a track record of managing teams and overseeing projects.
  • Expertise in database technologies, with a deep understanding of database management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing database issues.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive and efficient database designs.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Familiarity with a wide range of database technologies beyond SQL Server.
  • Experience in driving innovation and implementing process improvements.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
