As a Solutions Architect Manager specializing in retail, consumer goods , and restaurant industries, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how our customers leverage cloud-based innovation across these consumer sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of applications, systems, and platforms for multi-industry businesses - from modernizing retail operations and optimizing CPG supply chains to revolutionizing restaurant customer experiences. You'll lead both Solutions Architects and Customer Solutions Managers, combining your deep technical expertise with cross-industry knowledge to guide customers through their cloud modernization journey, from application assessment and architecture design to successful cloud adoption and optimization. Your passion for mentoring teams, architecting scalable solutions, and driving business outcomes will be essential in helping our customers navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of consumer-facing businesses.



We're seeking an accomplished leader to lead high performing Solutions Architecture and Customer Solutions Manager teams focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes. As a self-starter willing to operate in a multifaceted way, you should also have experience in complex architecture of cloud infrastructure and/or enterprise applications, and possess leadership skills with the ability to execute on key business initiatives. In this role you'll drive revenue growth through direct customer engagement and transformation initiatives



Key job responsibilities

Partner with sales leaders to define and execute technical account plans that drive customer cloud adoption and business transformation



Work closely with sales counterparts to develop and implement customer-focused strategies that accelerate AWS adoption and maximize business value



Hire, on-board, train, and develop Solutions Architects and Customer Solutions Managers

Coach your teams in delivering impactful technical sessions and architectural guidance to customers throughout their cloud journey



Build and share best practices across the Solutions Architecture community to enhance customer success

Guide the development of technical content, workshops, and architectural frameworks that address customer challenges and accelerate their cloud adoption



Act as a strategic liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and sales organizations to drive customer success



Lead and motivate your teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes through technical excellence and business acumen



About the team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.



The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design and build some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS Solutions Architects collaborate with AWS Sales and other AWS teams to help address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of managing a technical team of solution architects, sales engineers or similar technical roles experience

- - 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

- - Bachelor's degree

- - Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

- -Experience in people management and CXO level engagement

- - Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
