Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring effective team management and training. Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Contribute creative ideas for menu development and special events.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management abilities with a focus on fostering a positive work atmosphere. Culinary experience with a passion for cooking and hospitality. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
