Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all food preparation and production meets the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with the Head Chef to create exceptional culinary experiences while leading and mentoring kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and production. Oversee the daily activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Help in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing kitchen teams. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 45,000.00-52,000.00 per year
