Job Purpose

To provide an administrative support service for the Safer Roads Unit, which may include processing Traffic Offence Reports, Penalty Notices of Disorder and the Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme and undertaking associated Criminal Justice functions through to finalisation in accordance with the Roads Traffic Acts

Knowledge and Experience

Keyboard skills for the input of data and non-verbal communications with victims and witnesses

Good oral communication skills are required when dealing with internal and external customers.

Time management skills are essential to balance the various demands of the role.

Basic knowledge of the Fixed Penalty Notice system and Camera Offences in terms of statutory timescales.

Post holder will need to demonstrate adaptability within a constantly evolving Criminal Justice system.
