Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor with a valid SSSTS certificate to join our growing team on a busy construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deep drainage installations, trench boxes, manhole construction, and temporary ground support systems.

Key Responsibilities:Construction

Supervise and coordinate groundworks teams on-site Oversee installation of deep drainage systems, including foul and surface water Ensure safe use of trench support systems (trench boxes, manhole boxes, sheet piles, etc.) Manage daily site activities, plant, labour and materials Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance Read and interpret construction drawings and drainage plans Liaise with site management, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out to specification Conduct toolbox talks, briefings, and daily checks
Requirements:

Valid SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certificate Proven experience supervising deep drainage and groundworks Competent in use of ground support/shoring systems Strong understanding of temporary works procedures Valid CSCS card (Gold Supervisor or higher preferred) First Aid at Work (desirable) CPCS plant training Excellent communication and leadership skills Full UK driving licence
For the 2 months work at this time but could lead to more opportunities for the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 22.00-27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
