Are you passionate about disability inclusion and want to make a real difference to the working lives of others? We're looking for a committed and compassionate Staff Disability Adviser to join our Safety, Wellbeing and Resilience Team at the University of Strathclyde.
You'll be part of our Workplace Wellbeing Team, reporting directly to the Staff Wellbeing Manager, and play a key role in ensuring that disabled and neurodiverse colleagues can thrive at work.
In this role, you'll provide specialist advice and one-to-one support to disabled and neurodiverse staff, helping to ensure they can fully participate in their work and feel supported in the workplace. You'll work closely with line managers and colleagues across the University to make sure that reasonable adjustments are in place and that inclusive practices are embedded at every level.
You'll also lead and develop our Disabled and Neurodiverse Staff Network, creating a strong and supportive community where people feel valued, heard, and empowered. A key part of your role will be to gather and analyse data that helps us understand and improve the experience of disabled staff, ensuring that our workplace continues to be fair, inclusive, and welcoming for all.
As part of the Safety, Wellbeing and Resilience Team, you'll also design and deliver training and guidance to raise awareness and build confidence in supporting disabled and neurodiverse colleagues. You'll contribute to the delivery of our Workplace Wellbeing Strategy, helping to shape a culture of care and inclusion across the University.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who:
Has experience supporting disabled people in the workplace or a similar setting
Understands disability legislation and inclusive workplace practices
Communicates with empathy, clarity, and confidence
Wants to help shape a culture of inclusion at one of Scotland's leading universities
You'll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team that values wellbeing, inclusion, and continuous improvement. In return, we offer a welcoming working environment, a generous benefits package, and the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on the experience of staff across our University community.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on 4 December 2025.
