Are you a qualified or newly qualified nurse looking to take a new step in your nursing career?


Montacute North is a 22 bedded unit that is unique in that is provides care to patients with complex vascular needs. It sits under the Surgical Services Group and accepts both planned and emergency patients from within and outside of the county as we are part of the vascular network. We regularly deliver complex wound care, manage vascular pain and plan multifactorial discharges.


We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include nights and weekends. We have full time and part time hours available.


You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whist reflecting the philosophy of care.



To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.



Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient- centred, evidence based nursing care.
