We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and phlebotomy as needed.
Engage in discharge planning and follow-up care coordination for patients transitioning from acute settings.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Skills
Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or trauma medicine preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
Strong skills in patient assessment, triage, and acute pain management.
Ability to work with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is advantageous.
Competence in infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
