Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to join our South Sites Eye Service at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, and Orpington Hospital. Our clinics provide a comprehensive service, offering the post holder an excellent opportunity to either develop a new and exciting specialty or advance their existing ophthalmic skills and knowledge.



We are looking for someone who embraces change and works collaboratively with the care group to implement innovative ways of working, always putting the patient at the centre of everything they do.



In this role, you will care for patients attending eye appointments or procedures, coordinate clinical activities, perform various diagnostic eye tests, assist with ocular procedures, and apply your holistic knowledge to develop pre-assessment and rapid access assessment skills, among other responsibilities.



The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, deliver high-quality care with excellent communication skills, and collaborate effectively within a multi-professional team to ensure patients receive timely and safe care throughout their journey in the department.

Queen Mary's Eye Department operates as a seven-day outpatient service.
