An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified, experienced Counsellor to join the Staff Support Counselling Service based at Airbus, Broughton, North Wales. This is a busy, highly effective and respected service offering CBT and short-term brief therapy/counselling support to staff within the organisation.
This unique service means employment within the NHS but providing a private contract service to Airbus as an organisation. You will hold and manage your own caseload, providing assessment & treatment for clients. Clinical supervision is provided within the post & CPD actively supported to ensure that accreditation & therapeutic practice remain at a level of excellence & adheres to good practice.
You will have a key role & contribute to the smooth running of the support service; ensuring clinical quality is assured and adherence to BACP's code of ethics & practice as well as At Risk Protocols.
This is a permanent part time post for 15 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Clinical:
1. To provide assessment and counselling services to staff using the service.
2. To be responsible for the provision of a triage clinic.To make decisions on the suitability of new referrals into the service and to assess risk. Refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.
3. To formulate and implement plans for counselling and/or brief therapy.
4. To organise own caseload, taking professional responsibility and exercising autonomous judgement with regard to professional practice; to agree and manage time-limited interventions in accordance with specific service level agreements/service policies.
5. To undertake individual and group de-briefing of staff following a serious incident with relevant Senior Managers.
6. To undertake risk screening assessment of relevant clients and make appropriate referrals to specialist services where risk is identified.
7. To liaise and communicate with Occupation Health staff and others concerned with the well-being of staff using the service, subject to the agreement of the individual concerned.
8. To provide advice and consultation on staff care as appropriate.

11. To contribute to the development of staff counselling and support services through departmental/service meetings.
