Are you ready to make a real difference to the lives of the young people we support?
We have permanent shift contracts available ranging from 24hrs - 40hrs per week.
We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join us as a Young Person's Support Worker at one of our 24 hour staffed provisions in Port Talbot. As a vital member of our team, you will generally be lone working on site, liaising closely with our Case Managers (Support Officers), to provide essential support to our young people.
The Job Role
The job role entails creating a safe and secure environment, together with the delivery of trauma-informed, outcome-focussed support and guidance for the young people accommodated at the provision.
You will be expected to forge strong, trusting relationships with our young people, and foster independent living skills.
We would also expect that the successful candidate would promote active participation within our service and the community.
Hours of Work
The shifts available to be worked are in an 8 hour rolling shift pattern ie. 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm and 11pm - 7am. To promote a healthy work-life balance we encourage successful candidates to put forward the shifts/days that would suit them best from those that are available.
