We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced FABRICATOR FITTER to take a senior role within an established and dedicated team producing structural and architectural fabrications from a purpose built manufacturing facility in SANDWELL.

Salary will be wholly negotiable at interview and dependent on skills and experience; we anticipate something in the region of 42,000 to 48,000. Core working hours will be 7am to 4pm, Mon to Fri with the opportunity for paid overtime.

As the FABRICATOR FITTER your duties & responsibilities will include:

Hands on fabrication & welding of structural steel, architectural & decorative pieces Primarily factory based with trips to customer sites for fitting & installation Working from engineering and architectural drawings On site installation & fitting work Site surveys & measuring up ahead of sales team producing quotations Providing supervision, guidance and instruction to junior members of a team of 3 or 4 Promoting a "right first time" culture Ensure quality & accuracy of fabrication work
To secure this FABRICATOR FITTER opportunity you will need to display the following key skills & experience:

Hands on welding & fabrication skills (primarily mig welding) Working accurately to technical drawings Structural steel fabrications including sections, frames & staircases Architectural & decorative fabrications including gates, fencing and handrails Site fitting & "measuring up" Supervision, mentoring & training of junior or less experienced colleagues The following would be advantageous although further training will be given: Working in accordance with ISO & CE accreditations CSCS card for site work Site welding accreditations
This opportunity for a FABRICATOR FITTER will ideally suit an experienced or senior hands on Fabricator, Welder, Fabrication Supervisor or Steel Fitter who is used to both making and fitting their work on site.
