We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, primarily using TIG & MIG welding techniques, to produce high-quality products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and proficiency in various fabrication tools and methods.
Responsibilities
Perform TIG & MIG welding on various metals, including sheet metal, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards.
Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Interpret technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of products.
Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimise production processes.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations.
Assist with the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products as required.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in TIG & MIG welding and general welding techniques; familiarity with Stainless Steel welding preferred.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as jigs, grinders, and drills.
Strong understanding of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and other metals.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication.
Experience in assembly processes is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work safely in a busy workshop environment while maintaining attention to detail.
