Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our customers by serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness while ensuring efficient service during busy periods.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure all food safety standards are met during food preparation and serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Assist with food preparation, ensuring that all items are fresh and presented attractively. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Basic math skills for handling cash and processing orders efficiently. Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 34 - 40 per week

This position is for full-time role, averaging around 36 hours per week. Shifts may start as early as 5:30am and finish as late as 10:30pm, and full availability across those hours is required. Are you able to commit to this full-time schedule?
Experience:

Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
