We're looking for leaders at Starbucks. Join us for coffee, stay for the community, connections and opportunities.
At Starbucks, by The Magic Bean Company, your voice matters and your passion for customer service is brewed into everything we do. We've been operating Starbucks stores across the UK for nearly 10 years, and we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store manager.
As a leader at Starbucks you will be empowered to treat the store as if it is your own business. To be successful in the role, you'll have previous experience in leading a team in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment. You'll champion our Magic Values to create the Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. You'll understand your market, getting to know the competition and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and your results forward.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! As a store manager, working in one of our dynamic stores, you'll be setting the example and leading from the front on shift. A typical day could include:
Supporting the growth of your partners, coaching and developing your team and building positive relationships to understand partner challenges, needs and aspirations
Executing store operations through your team, making sure all of your partners are delivering the Starbucks experience consistently from open to close
Analysing data and observations in store to inform decision making that improves both the customer experience and overall store performance
Using forecasting and scheduling tools to manage labour within the required budgets as well as recruitment and training of world class and diverse talent that meets the store needs
Overseeing stock ordering, ensuring sufficient inventory is available to meet customer demands and conducting accurate stock counts
Cascading and rolling out of new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive business results
Setting challenging yet realistic goals to drive engagement and improve partner performance
Leading great shifts, providing quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers in line with our recipe and presentation standards
Role-modelling legendary customer service with a customer comes first attitude and creating genuine connections
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace for your customers and partners
Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for till usage and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
All our store employees (we call them partners, as everyone is important and valued) begin their careers with an introductory in-store training programme led by our amazing in store trainers, designed to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success.
In return, you'll receive access to our exclusive Rewarding Magic Partners benefits that include:
Store bonus schemes
Free beverages and 75% off food when you're on shift
30% discount on all food, beverages and merchandise at all other times
Comprehensive training and access to Starbucks Global Academy (our online learning platform to help continuously develop yourself)
Discounts with local and national retailers (grocery shopping, gym memberships, entertainment tickets, hotels, etc.) through Perks at Work platform
Recognition schemes for Partner of the Month
Long service rewards
Opportunity to grow your coffee knowledge and earn the coveted Coffee Master black apron
Refer a friend scheme
Great long-term career opportunities
...and much more!
Given the nature of our stores, our working hours could include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Starbucks is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. So, if you're looking for a new opportunity, with us you'll be welcomed, you'll be challenged, you'll be inspired. Here you'll be heard. Because here, you're a part of it all. Here you belong.
