Full time starting salary is normally in the range \xc2\xa334,980 to \xc2\xa344,263 with potential progression once in post to \xc2\xa346,974

Role Summary

StARS (Student Administration Refresh and Simplification) is a University-wide programme to simplify, standardise and improve our student administration services, enabled by a replacement and upgrade of our student record system. Its vision is to deliver a better experience for students, academics and Professional Services staff; and enables a fundamental shift towards a more flexible set of capabilities and services that are fit for the future.

Reporting to the StARS Change and Benefits Realisation Manager the StARS Business Change Officer will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the StARS transformation programme, contributing to risk, stakeholder and benefits management activities as part of the StARS Business Change and Benefits Workstream.

The post holder is expected to develop close links with key stakeholders across the colleges and the wider university. This will help to ensure that the post holder is fully conversant with the institutional priorities and that the approaches used in the StARS transformation programme are consistent with those being developed more broadly across the University. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, be comfortable presenting to wide range of audiences, and be able to produce high quality written communications for the range of stakeholders. This new post is an exciting opportunity for career expansion or progression as the appointee will have developed a thorough understanding of the University\'s student-related administrative systems by the successful completion of the project.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in supporting several projects or process reviews at the same time, an excellent commitment to customer service with strong interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to work under pressure and to manage conflicting demands.

It is anticipated that the StARS Business Change Officer will be working with a number of the colleges and the wider University (e.g. Registry and Student Services within Academic Services) throughout the StARS Programme and the allocation of responsibilities is dependent on the volume of work and the priorities of each college and the stage of the workstreams / Programme. Therefore, the post holder is expected to have a flexible approach. Throughout the programme lifecycle, the StARS Business Change Officer will assist in ensuring there is a consistent, two-way communication link between the StARS programme team and the business areas impacted by the changes.
