Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and dietary requirements. Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for ingredients as necessary to ensure availability. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations throughout all kitchen processes. Assist in managing kitchen budgets, controlling costs while maintaining quality.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and production. Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating and supervising a team. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences.
