, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning services to communal areas of static blocks of flats across the city.
The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents and visitors, while following health and safety procedures and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality cleaning services to communal areas of residential blocks, ensuring all work meets agreed standards.
Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safe working practices.
Use cleaning materials and equipment safely, ensuring they are properly stored after use.
Identify and report repairs, maintenance needs, or issues affecting communal areas.
Liaise with the Caretaking Supervisor daily to report operational or tenancy issues, including anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Maintain accurate written information and records to support performance monitoring and complaint responses.
Communicate courteously with residents, colleagues, and contractors as required.
Ensure customer satisfaction through professionalism and high-quality service delivery.
Undertake training and coaching as required, including achieving
BICSc
cleaning standards.
Support the use of new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement within the service.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a domestic or commercial cleaning role.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully with residents and colleagues.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and cleaning schedules.
Commitment to health and safety, equality, and customer service standards.
Desirable
Cleaning qualification (e.g. BICSc or equivalent).
Experience using industrial cleaning equipment.
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
