- Static Electrical Service Engineer

Overview
We are currently looking to recruit a Static Electrical Service Engineer to maintain and repair our client's equipment at fixed hospital and medical centre sites.
We're seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with experience in electrical installations, testing, and maintenance within a static or facilities-based environment. The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Inspection & Testing Certificate.

This is a site-based position, working a contracted 45-hour week (with one hour unpaid lunch per day), Monday to Friday. Overtime may be available for weekdays and weekends.
Unlike mobile roles, this position will not require regular travel or overnight stays, as work will be primarily carried out at one or more designated static sites.

The Role
The postholder will be responsible for the installation, servicing, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at hospital and medical centre sites. Duties will include:

Performing planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to electrical systems. Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults in line with safety standards. Carrying out electrical testing and certification in compliance with statutory regulations. Performing minor building and facilities repairs (e.g., lighting, locks, sockets). Supporting installation projects and electrical upgrades as required. Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
The engineer must be proactive, adaptable, and capable of solving on-site challenges independently while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.

Qualifications & Experience

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification - essential City & Guilds Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent) - essential Previous experience as an electrical maintenance or service engineer in a static environment (e.g., hospital, commercial, or industrial facility) Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
Salary
35,000 - 40,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
