Role Overview
As a
Steel Erector & Sheeter
with South Lincs Construction Ltd, you will play a vital role in delivering our projects safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
You will work as part of an experienced site team installing structural steelwork, cladding systems, and associated components in accordance with design drawings and company RAMS.
Key Responsibilities
Erect steel frames, rafters, purlins, and secondary steelwork to engineering drawings.
Install roof and wall cladding systems including
composite panels, single-skin sheeting, and fibre cement
.
Fit flashings, gutters, trims, and associated finishing details for weather-tight integrity.
Safely use
telehandlers, MEWPs, scissor lifts, harness systems, and fall arrest nets
in accordance with HSE and company procedures.
Support lifting operations under the direction of an
Appointed Person
and
Crane Supervisor
.
Conduct daily equipment and PPE checks, reporting defects immediately.
Work collaboratively with other trades on-site to maintain progress and high standards.
Follow site-specific
RAMS, CPP, and CDM 2015 requirements
at all times.

Maintain professionalism and site discipline representing the company at all times.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in
steel erection, sheeting, or cladding installation
(industrial, agricultural, or commercial sectors).
Ability to read and interpret drawings and work to precise tolerances.
Awareness of safe lifting operations and working at height practices.
Competent with hand and power tools used in steel erection and sheeting.
Positive attitude towards teamwork and safety.
Qualifications (Desirable but not essential)
CSCS Card
(Blue or Gold preferred).
IPAF (MEWP)
and/or
PASMA
certification.
NVQ Level 2 or 3
in Steel Erecting or Cladding Occupations.
Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height
training.
CPCS Slinger/Signaller
or
Crane Supervisor
qualification.
Full UK Driving Licence
.
We are currently offering a full site training course for all members of staff who work on site.
