Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Steel fixer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction and installation of iron and steel structures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met on every project. This role requires physical stamina, precision, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Assemble, install, and repair metal structures and frameworks using various tools and equipment. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure structural integrity and adherence to specifications. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Assist in the training of junior staff as required.

Skills

Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes. Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Effective communication skills for teamwork and collaboration. Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
