Venatu Recrutment are proud to annouce a leading client of ours with the high-end, steelwork fabrication indstry is now looking for a Steelwork/Bridge Estimator to join them at their HQ in Doncaster. The client is a leading provider of high-quality steelwork fabrication solutions, committed to delivering excellence in every project are well known for projects in the Railway, Highways and Construction Industry, working alongside various Tier 1 Contractors. Due to their consistent grwoth and expansion, they're now looking for a Steelwork/Bridge Estimator to join them ASAP.
This is a full-time role paying xc2xa345k - xc2xa350k DOE + Commission on every project won working only 39 hours per week Monday to Friday!
This is an autonomous role where you will work closely with the Sales and Estimating team to generate estimates and undertake a range of office responsibilities for bespoke Structural Steel projects. You will undertake occasional site visit but primarily work within the office to quantify steel work from engineering drawings and sub-contract packages.
This role would suit an Estimator from a Structural Steel background looking to work on some exciting projects.
Job duties include:

• Review and assess from available drawings/specifications/BoQ to the extent of the requirement and/or opportunity on a project-by-project basis
• Prepare and submit competitively priced quotations in accordance with the compliant specification for the Project and if necessary, value engineer the package and secure competitive advantage.
• Submit re-quotes as and when necessary, in strict compliance with any agreed design changes or scheme amendments
• Liaison with main contractors, engineers, architects, suppliers, and internal staff on technical matters
• Development and maintenance of established processes/the New ABI Database and SAP (customer relationship management systems).
• On receipt of new orders to ensure all contract documentation is reviewed and a reply to the order is issued to the client confirming agreed price, payment terms and site attendances.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team in evaluating the extent of any given opportunity and in seeking to optimize its value.
• Any other tasks reasonably requested of you by your line manager or the board

The type of candidates they're looking for:

• Proven experince in Estimating
• 3 Year plus in a similar role.
• Experinced in Steelwork/Bridges/Gantries and similiar.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite including programmes such as Excel and Word
• Skilled and proven expeince in in winning projects
• Experinced in deal with external parties being Contractors and Suppliers
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards of work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
