Stem After School Assistant (part Time, Students Welcome)

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Do you love inspiring young minds?

Join us in delivering fun, hands-on STEM workshops that spark curiosity and creativity in primary school pupils! We're looking for enthusiastic students to help make STEM learning exciting in after-school clubs, running from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm at local primary schools.

Flexibility to Fit Your Schedule

We understand the demands of university life, so we work around your university timetable. We ask for a commitment of 2-3 days a week, with workshops running after school from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM at local primary schools. This means your afternoons are busy inspiring young minds, while your mornings and evenings remain free for studies and personal time.

The Role

We are looking for passionate team members to help inspire primary-aged children (5-11 years old) into the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths). Full training will be provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!

Every week, you'll guide curious minds through the wonders of slime, robots, and ice cream experiments. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon, right? Your Lead Educator will provide all necessary materials and a lesson plan for the workshop, so you can focus on assisting and bringing your own spark to help inspire the students.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Educator in delivering engaging STEM workshops. Help children complete hands-on challenges that spark creativity and critical thinking. Create a fun, positive learning environment by bringing your enthusiasm to each session.
What We're Looking For

No formal experience is necessary--if you've ever worked with children in any setting (babysitting, school placements, tutoring), that's a bonus! Ideal for students currently in their 1st or 2nd year of University --this role offers growth opportunities, like progressing into a Lead Educator position as you gain experience. A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their learning.
