Our Birmingham site also houses our Central Distribution Centre, supporting stock movement and logistics across all branches.

The Role



We're looking for an organised and motivated Stock Controller to join our Central Distribution Centre team. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient movement of stock between branches, processing inter-branch transfers, and supporting warehouse operations through our management software, Korber. This is a fast-paced role requiring attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and confidence working with systems and data. Occasional flexibility with shifts or stock counts outside regular hours may be required.

Key Responsibilities



Process and monitor stock transfers between branches via SAP/Korber. Verify stock levels and track inter-branch order status. Maintain shared calendars for supplier and haulier deliveries. Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure all picks are processed accurately and on time. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly. Act as the first point of contact for delivery drivers and couriers. Communicate with Purchasing and external suppliers regarding stock queries. Coordinate with external storage providers for collection and storage needs. Support management with ad hoc stock control and administrative tasks.

Skills & Experience



Essential:



Strong computer literacy, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience in stock control, inventory, or warehouse administration.

Desirable:



Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner. Calm and methodical under pressure. Experience using SAP. Financial or data analysis background.
