Stock and Nursery Coordinator

12.30 per hour

37.5 hours per week

Monday- Friday 8am-4pm

location- Sulney Nursery , Station Road, Upper Broughton, LE14 3BQ

Reports to:

Stock Controller

Role Purpose

To support the Stock Controller in maintaining accurate and efficient stock records while assisting with the physical handling and organisation of plants across the nursery. This role provides a vital link between the nursery operatives and the stock administration team, ensuring accurate information on Wintree.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Administration

Carry out regular stocktaking and rolling stock checks. Update and maintain accurate records on Wintree, including stock movements, adjustments, and deliveries. Prepare potting sheets and credit notes as required. Support the Stock Controller in monitoring discrepancies and investigating issues. Accurately input sales orders into the Wintree stock management system. Assist with stock adjustments and amendments. Process inward goods, ensuring deliveries are correctly checked and recorded in Wintree.

Nursery & Physical Tasks

Assist with stock movements across the nursery, including unloading, delivering-off, labelling, and bed organisation. Work alongside the Stock Controller on physical checks, counts, and inspections. Prepare plants for dispatch, ensuring accurate labelling and quantity verification. Support incoming deliveries, checking goods against paperwork and updating records in Wintree.

General

Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Person Specification

Good attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable with both computer-based and physical outdoor tasks. Willingness to learn Wintree (training provided). Organised, methodical, and able to work independently. Team player with good communication skills. Plant knowledge desirable. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
