Job Overview:



Green Energy Solutions, led by Director Michael Connell, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Condition Surveyor to join our team. As an energy surveyance company, we focus on evaluating the energy efficiency and overall condition of buildings. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the condition of various domestic properties, identifying areas for energy improvements, and ensuring properties meet the required standards. All necessary training, IT equipment, ladders, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct comprehensive surveys of domestic properties to assess their condition and energy efficiency.

Identify and document any repair, maintenance, or health and safety issues.

Evaluate properties for potential energy-saving improvements and provide recommendations.

Utilise survey data to produce detailed reports and recommendations for property improvements.

Liaise with property owners and tenants to arrange survey appointments and provide information about the survey process.

Work closely with the energy efficiency and property management teams to prioritize and address identified issues.

Ensure all surveys are conducted in line with current legislation and organizational policies.

Maintain accurate records of all surveys and associated documentation.

Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term energy efficiency and improvement plans for the properties surveyed.

Qualifications:



All training and Equipment Provided:

A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.

Physically able to carry out surveys, including accessing various property areas.

Self-motivated and well-organised.

Ability to manage your own diary and schedule appointments through phone calls.

Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with property owners and tenants.

IT literate with proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Basic understanding of building construction and maintenance is advantageous but not essential.

Understanding of the social housing sector clientele.

Comprehensive induction program.

On-the-job training and shadowing experienced surveyors.

Courses covering building construction basics, health and safety regulations, and use of survey equipment.

Regular refresher courses and opportunities for continuous professional development.

Training in using survey software and reporting tools.

All necessary IT equipment (e.g., laptop, tablet) for conducting and recording surveys.

Ladders and other necessary tools for accessing and inspecting various property areas.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety while conducting surveys.
