The main responsibilities of the Stock Control Manager include meeting inventory goals, managing tracking systems and acting as a liaison to other departments. The Stock Control Manager will offer recommendations to ensure accurate levels of inventory in the warehouse. The role will also provide operational support to the Warehouse Manager, working closely with the Warehouse Supervisors to endeavour to supply prompt efficient Customer Service. The Stock Control Manager will be required to operate flexibly in a warehouse office team working environment; ensuring that hygiene, quality levels and performance standards are met, whilst promoting safe working practices.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
Ensure accurate product inventory for clients.
Communicate with our Warehouse Manager about current stock and potential issues with orders.
Conduct daily analysis to forecast potential inventory issues.
Report on inventory activities and variances.
Assess new inventory to ensure it is ready for shipping or delivery.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
Ensure all reports and tasks are completed accurately and delivered within the required timeframes set with customers.
Completing staff appraisals and follow ups.
Customer/Supplier liaison.
Ensuring accuracy throughout the department.
Ensuring procedures are kept up to date.
Ensuring Health and Safety policy and process is followed.
Maintain a good working relationship with customers and colleagues throughout the company.
Responsible for highlighting any potential quality issues, including hygiene and damage issues to your Manager.
Completion of necessary process control and quality documented records, in a timely manner (QC Checks).
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of Inventory Management Experience
Minimum 2 years of Management Experience
Educated to 'A' Level Standard or Equivalent
Good organisational skills
Ability to train and support staff
Good working knowledge of modern office procedure and methods including the use of telephones,
Microsoft applications other office systems
Experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures
Ability to prioritise, work independently and make progress on tasks with minimal supervision
Good interpersonal skills - able to deal with people at all levels
Good leadership and team building skills
Proven delegating skills ensuring tasks are allocated appropriately.
